2018 Hispanic Roundtable Community Summit

The Hispanic Roundtable, in partnership with Educational Service District 113, cordially invites you to a Roundtable Community Summit on June 8. Join organizations from across Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor, and Pacific Counties to participate in a first-ever event for our region. This Summit will bring together organizations, agencies, services, and individuals who provide direct or indirect support to the Latinx community for a day of informal and formal networking, information sharing, and meaningful conversations about ways we can work together to strengthen and support the Latinx community. We have invited prominent speakers to address immigration, education, and health issues concerning the Latinx community. We would be honored to have your presence.

The event is free, but we are arranging for a modest, catered lunch. The $15 for the ticket is to cover the cost of attendees’ lunches. If you have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc), please email us separately (hispanic@hispanicroundtable.org) at least a week in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We expect several significant outcomes for the day:

  • A better understanding of who is offering what services and support to the Latinx Community
  • Gaps in services across all five counties represented
  • A list of attendees published to the Hispanic Roundtable’s website
  • A means for keeping each other updated and in-touch
  • Meaningful take-aways for attendees to share with their organizations

We invite you to bring giveaways and marketing materials from your organization. Since we expect 150-200 attendees, we ask that you bring plenty to share. We will have informal tabling opportunities (low-key, no staffing required) and plenty of time for unstructured conversations and networking.

We encourage you to share this event with others from your network who also serve the Latinx community, and might want to attend.

Una fuerte comunidad Latina. A strong Latino community.
