6.90 Mb)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"border-style: dashed;\">\n<h4>HISPANIC ROUNDTABLE LATINO YOUTH SUMMIT SCHOLARSHIPS<\/h4>\n<p>THREE $1000 SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND SOUTH PUGET SOUND COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN 2014!<\/p>\n<p>Announcement for all Latino Youth Summit Attendees:<\/p>\n<p><b><i>2013 Latino Youth Summit host South Puget Sound Community College is thrilled to offer three $1000 SPSCC scholarships!<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>WHO:\u00a0 Eligible to apply are those youth attending the 2013 Latino Youth Summit who meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a current high school or alternative school or Running Start student;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2.0 GPA;<\/li>\n<li>Must submit three letters of reference, to include at least one teacher. Others could be community member or relative or additional teachers;<\/li>\n<li>Must complete the scholarship application, which will be available on-line and at the 2013 Latino Youth Summit;<\/li>\n<li>Must complete an essay or personal statement. Minimum of 400 words. 1-2 pages, 12 pt. font. Double spaced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Select ONE of these topics to write about:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>How being Latino\/a has given me strength to complete my goals.<\/li>\n<li>How my educational goals will help me make my community a better place.<\/li>\n<li>How this scholarship can set me on the path I need for my future<\/li>\n<li>What I want to accomplish in the next four years.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Hispanic Roundtable may request finalists participate in an interview with a Hispanic Roundtable panel. *There will be a workshop available at the 2013 Latino Youth Summit to help get you started with writing this personal essay.<\/p>\n<p>TIMETABLE:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scholarship application packet must be completed and sent to the Hispanic Roundtable via postal mail or electronically no later than March 1, 2014.<\/li>\n<li>Winners of the scholarships will be announced in May 2014.
